I set out to find Jesus, to see if he knew my name.
I had to ask him why my life had encountered so much pain.
As I traveled through the Book of Life looking for the place,
I learned Jesus endured some pains in life; I may never have to face.
They hammered him to a rugged cross, beat him and called him
hurtful names.
I thought to myself, how does one stand so much pain?
And a still voice spoke to me, “you’re the reason why I came.”
Right then, I felt ashamed because I set out to find Jesus so that I
could complain,
But when I found him, there was no reason because my life began
to change.
And Jesus answered me and said, “I always knew your name.”
Jesus knows your name.
